Colección Primavera-Verano 2014 Pop Art de Heading Out Hair and Beauty

Drawing inspiration from iconic Pop Artist Andy Warhol, the ‘Pop Art’ collection showcases manga inspired colours and technical cuts fused with movement to create a balanced and beautiful selection of images.

Explosions of colour and classic shapes are huge focal points for the collection; which offers a fresh take on classic and retro influences and brings colour to a whole new level.

Playing on the minimalist aspect, the collection teams only a few elements with classic shapes to create a maximum effect.

“I wanted to isolate the sole beauty of the hair in all its’ glory,” colourist, Aaron Toner says.

Utilising the ‘peek-a-boo’ colour technique, Toner used bright pops of colour hidden within a solid base. Add to this classic shades and shapes and the result is something bright, bold and beautiful.

A series of 2014 trend focus tones from the same colour family add dimension and texture to each look; and when combined with opposite and complimentary shades; the colours ‘pop’ and highlight the classic shapes and styles seen throughout the collection.

“My aim was to showcase the fluidity between cut and colour, where both aspects complement each other,” Stylist Aiden Horwood says.

The strong, static shapes are soft in texture and brought to life by graphic, all-over colour teamed with contrasting focal points which adds the feeling of movement.

The collection has an editorial edge; using a treatment that both softens the silhouettes and adds focus to the hair.

It encompasses a mix of past, present and future cuts; the styling is clean and elegant with a feminine and seductive touch.

‘Pop Art’ connects with consumer and hairdresser alike and draws inspiration from the likes of Angelo Seminara, Tim Hartley and Mark Hayes.
