Colección 2015 Quiche Eaters de Jules Tognini

In this controlled, over regulated world we live in, real men make their statement through their hair.

Their hair governs their look whether it’s untamed, grungy, individual, strong or real.

The collection emphasises the individual strength that is MEN – rough, strong and confident.

It emphasises men who have an “I don’t give a f**k what you think” kind of confidence.

The objective behind my inspiration was to display the power of men and their strength.

Strength comes in many forms; strength of character, strength of mind, strength of body and emotional strength.

The photography and lighting needed to convey this strength by casting shadows and highlights.

Drawing the eye to the strength of the body while emphasising the power of the torso, the power of the face, the set of the jaw and the fierce facial expression while offering an emotive strength, centering the man.

The makeup was designed to enhance masculine power.

Each man’s look was strengthened by a deliberate strong linear power stroke.

The obvious strong body in these shots exudes silence, which in turn exhibits control.

“I am in control.

I have power”. Silence can be as ear-splitting as shouting.

Meet the “Quiche Eaters”. Cos Real Men Eat Quiche.

Every Man in this shoot is a client, a real man.

My Inspiration is MANifested directly from the power of the individual. The power of
Man.

No false deities, no imaginary scenarios, no photo shopped pussy boys, just powerful strong yet desirable MEN.

Personality plays to its strength in the rough imperfect finish, whether it is roughly cut and styled raw or worn long, loose, twisted and MANhandled into an unintentional do.

Strong head shapes are accentuated with balding fades, pivotal length or tight Sharp defining lines where scalp juxtaposes length and hair texture defines the outcome.

The fashion direction was short, back and sides.

They were chippered to death with neat little partings have been sidelined.

And no self-respecting Quiche- Eater would be seen dead with a tidy little ManBun aka MUN.

Men are gaining confidence and trusting their stylists.

Men are “Owning their looks” unlike chicks who are victims of celebrity.

Men are turning heads with unequivocal style developed through ”Don’t give a toss what you think” bluntness.

In this collection, I needed to see hair.

Men get the cut but still want it to fit like an old pair of jeans, comfortable and easy to throw on.

Strong Real Men!

Watch closely, because Real Men will be silently returning to display their strength, dance to their own rhythm and their own silent beat.
