Colección Primavera-Verano 2014 Mode Rocker de Jodie Yakalis

Jodie Yakalis' first ever colour collection, Mode Rocker, is a celebration of her recovery from tough personal times, her absolute love for Chanel with a sprinkling of her own rock chic style.

She said that this collection was an expression of her past, present and future so the process of creating the looks was a true artistic journey.

"The Bright Colours in my collection are a celebration of new beginnings and making dreams come true", Jodie said.

She said that on the flipside, the Dark Rocker side, was "a combination of my personal style, current runway influences and the darker side of my past."

"Honesty is so important and without my past I wouldn't be who I am today."

A picture of a broken mirror and inspiration from recent Chanel runway shows were the starting points on the hair colour journey.

"I feel colour is brighter than ever in the coming seasons and it's going to have a touch of artistic flair," she said.

"Solid colours have to be really strong and bold.

"Multi-tone colours turn a hairdresser into an artist, pushing the normal boundaries of colour to create techniques that are new and fresh," Jodie said
